Nearly all jet aircraft use a variety of ☀️ Kerosene (yup heavy diesel...). The reason
is that hydrocarbon fuels contain more energy per liter as the molecular weight goes
☀️ up. (This is why a diesel car can go farther on a gallon of diesel than a gasoline car
can). ☀️ Still heavier fuels are not used because they take too long to pre-heat for
engine starting (and the plane sits ☀️ on the ground...)
As for which plane is a better
(or tougher) aircraft, the F-16 is designed to get into the ☀️ air quickly for rapid
response. The F-22 Raptor carries more arms payload...and goes faster... but does not
scramble as quickly. ☀️ Once both are in the air, I'd bet on the F-22.

I was in the Air
Force for a while before I went to college.Both jets ☀️ use a derivative of kerosene for
fuel. There are different types; a couple called JP-4 and JP-6. The fuel isn't ☀️ the
important part of the aircraft as much as the "accessories". These are things like
range, weapon capacity, guidance systems, ☀️ etc. The F-16 is a no-frills fighter--not as
fancy as the F-22. It is cheap and often sold to poor ☀️ countries. This doesn't mean that
it is inferior; just that it is appropriate for less high tech work. You should ☀️ keep in
mind that when a military force is built, no single part of it, whether it is a tank,
☀️ gun, fighter, or bomber, is really the "best". This is because it is the collection of
weapons that makes the ☀️ military. The military is more like a set of tools with each
having a particular job to do. There is ☀️ really no single piece of hardware that is the
best for all jobs.
