A federal court in Australia ruled Wednesday that Carnival Corporation was negligent in its duty to protect cruise passengers from a coronavirus outbreak on a Princess Cruise Line ship in March 2024.
Carnival looks poised to survive the pandemic, and it should become profitable in the near term. However, Carnival stock must compete with other stocks, which do not face such a heavy debt burden.
