Amazonas Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Amazonas, is a Brazilian
8️⃣ professional club based in Manaus, Amazonas founded on 23 May 2024. It competes in the
Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, the 8️⃣ second tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the
Campeonato Amazonense, the top flight of the Amazonas state football 8️⃣ league.
Amazonas
is the second-best ranked team from Amazonas State in CBF's national club ranking,
behind Manaus.[1]

Founded on 8️⃣ 23 May 2024 by a group of businessmen,[2]
Amazonas FC played their first professional tournament, the Campeonato Amazonense
Second Division, 8️⃣ nearly six months later. They won the tournament after defeating São
Raimundo in the final.[3]
In their first Campeonato Amazonense, Amazonas 8️⃣ FC were
knocked out in the first phase. In 2024, after Manaus FC reached the finals, the club
qualified to 8️⃣ the 2024 Série D for the first time in their history, after being the
best-placed team in the first phase.[4]
On 8️⃣ 28 August 2024, Amazonas achieved a
first-ever promotion to the Série C, after defeating Portuguesa-RJ in the 2024 Série D
8️⃣ quarterfinals.[5]
After their promotion one year before, Amazonas beat Botafogo-PB 2-0
and won the club's first ever promotion to the second 8️⃣ division.[6] On 22 October 2024,
Amazonas became champions of Série C, the first national title for a team from the
8️⃣ state of Amazonas.[7]
