Daniel Negreanu
Canadian Daniel Negreanu joined PokerStars in June of 2007.
Considered now a poker legend as well as the top💶 spokesman for PokerStars, Negreanu has
made a name for himself in the poker scene whether live, online or on-screen. He💶 most
recently spoke to PokerNews about the NHL franchise name.
He can be found playing at
PokerStars under his famous identity,💶 “Kid Poker.”
Chris Moneymaker
In 2003, Chris
Moneymaker changed poker after winning a couple satellites into the World Series of
Poker Main💶 Event and then winning the Main Event.
He quit his day job as an accountant
in the United States to become💶 a poker player and convinced the world they could too,
revitalizing the poker industry and considered a catalyst for the💶 poker boom that would
follow.
He can be found on PokerStars as “Money800NJ.”
Liv Boeree
England’s Liv Boeree
is one of the most💶 impressive characters of the poker world, having a variety of
talents and accomplishments (a degree in astrophysics, a modeling and💶 TV career,
guitar-playing skills) to accompany her overR$3 million in total live tournament
winnings and a pro poker player status.
She💶 joined PokerStars in 2010 and can be found
there using the screen name “Liv Boeree.”
Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier
French poker
player Bertrand💶 “ElkY” Grospellier joined PokerStars not long after he won the Euro
Cyber Games in 2003, but before that, he was💶 a world-famous StarCraft player. He’s
achieved poker’s ‘Triple Crown,’ winning the World Series of Poker bracelet, the World
Poker Tour💶 and European Poker Tour.
He can be found on PokerStars using his popular
nickname, “ElkY.”
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier, an American poker player💶 who came onto
the poker scene when he won the European Poker Tour Sanremo Main Event in 2008, joined
Team💶 PokerStars in 2009. He continued on to multiple WSOP bracelets and an EPT win for
overall earnings aboveR$17 million.
He can💶 be found online with his screen name,
“JasonMercier.”
Jason Somerville
Jason Somerville, a New Yorker most affectionately
known for his broadcasting career,💶 his Twitch channel and online poker advocacy in the
United States, became a PokerStars Pro in 2024. He’s also the💶 mind behind the Run It Up
bankroll challenge series, where he’s had 25 to 30 unique visits in the last💶 two
years.
He knows how to draw a crowd and boasts one WSOP bracelet.
Even with his crazy
schedule, he finds time💶 for online games on PokerStars as “JCarver.”
Vanessa Selbst
The
second New Yorker on our list has not one, but three World💶 Series of Poker bracelets
and a spot within the top 100 of the All Time Money List.
A graduate of Yale💶 and Yale
Law, Vanessa Selbst is one of the top poker players out there, with total earnings
exceedingR$11 million and💶 her 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA)R$25,000 High
Roller win nabbing her the highest-earning female poker player in history title. She💶 is
also the only player to achieve back-to-back North American Poker Tour titles.
Selbst
joined PokerStars in 2010. Play her on💶 PokerStars under the screen name “V.
Selbst.”
Jake Cody
An English professional poker player who joined PokerStars in 2013,
Jake Cody has💶 only cashed in one World Poker Tour event, but that cash brought him the
title. He is one of few💶 to obtain the Triple Crown honor, or three major poker titles:
the World Series of Poker bracelet, the WPT and💶 the European Poker Tour.
He can be
found under the nickname, “neverbluff67.”
Barry Greenstein
An American poker player
from Chicago, Illinois, Barry Greenstein💶 has long been seen as the “Robin Hood of
Poker” after donating large portions of his winnings to charity. He💶 joined PokerStars
in 2006.
He has been in 13 WSOP final tables and made over 30 significant cashes,
including bracelet wins💶 in three. He has made won two WPT titles and made six table
appearances.
As one of the poker veterans, it’s💶 surprising he can still be found on
PokerStars under “barryg1.”
Leo Fernandez
Starting as a semi-professional chess player,
Argentinian Leo Fernandez made💶 his way into poker in 2005. He became a PokerStars Pro
in 2009.
He’s third on the Argentina All Time Money💶 list with overR$2 million in total
earnings live. He finished the 2011 PCA in second place and won the LAPT💶 Panama Main
Event the following year forR$171,930.
He uses the screen name “LeoFernandez” on
PokerStars.
André Akkari
Brazil’s André Akkari worked for a💶 software company
specializing in Flash animation before he became a poker player. He joined PokerStars
in 2007 and had his💶 largest cash to date in 2011 when he won aR$1,500 No Limit Hold’em
event at the WSOP, obtaining his first💶 bracelet in the process.

Theo Jørgensen
This professional poker
player started on the💶 other side of the table, as a dealer in the casino. Denmark’s
Theo Jørgensen joined Team PokerStars in 2010. Initially💶 he took to seven-card stud
games, winning his first big break in 2004 forR$125,248. In 2007, he secured fifth
place💶 in a WSOP stud event; he would go on to win the £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha event
forR$397,617, taking his💶 first bracelet.
He also has a WPT win under his belt. Find him

Luca Pagano
Italian professional
poker player Luca Pagano started like anyone else: at the free money tables.
After
making his way to💶 the high-stakes tables, Pagano found his way into the cashing out
places, securing third in a Barcelona event in PokerStars💶 European Poker Tour Season 1,
sixth at the Grand Final in Monte Carlo during Season 4 and 20 EPT cashes.
In💶 2011, he
won the IPT Sanremo. Find him online at the screen name “LucaPagano.”
Johnny
Lodden
Norway’s Johnny Lodden worked his way💶 through cash games on PokerStars,
eventually making his way into high stakes. In 2004, he won his first tournament: the
💶 2004 St. Maarten Open. By 2009, he had joined PokerStars.
His best finish to date is at
the 2013 PokerStars and💶 Monte Carlo Casino EPT Grand Final where he finished third
forR$612,355. His total live earnings are just overR$2.5 million.

Marcin Horecki
Poland’s Marcin Horecki started his💶 career skiing on a national
alpine team, quit after an injury, went into financial business, played some Magic: The
Gathering💶 and then found poker.
His live earnings total to date is just overR$1.3
million with his best cash atR$555,627. He joined💶 PokerStars in 2008 and can be found
online under the screen name ‘Goral’ on the global site and as ‘BIackL0tus’💶 on the
French site.
Victor Ramdin
Born in Guyana but living in the Bronx, Victor Ramdin made
his way into poker through💶 his friends. After being taught to play, he secured his
first big win in 2004 at the WPT Foxwoods Poker💶 Classic after besting 431 players to
win overR$1.3 million. He’s made many final tables cashes in both the WPT and💶 the WSOP,
finishing 11th in one and 9th in the other.
He joined PokerStars in 2006. Find him

Bryan Huang
Coming in from
Singapore, Bryan Huang is a rising star in Asia’s poker scene. Playing💶 since 2006,
Huang has received many accolades including a ‘Rookie of the Year’ vote from
Australasia Magazine in 2008 and💶 a ‘Asia Player of the Year’ vote in 2010.
He tops
Singapore’s All Time Money List and can be found on💶 his screen name,“BryanHuang” on the
PokerStars global site, and as “BryanHuangFR” on the French site.
Celina Lin
Shanghai’s
Celina Lin started off💶 her poker career by building aR$10,000 bankroll in three weeks.
Her biggest live cash was at the Macau Poker Cup💶 where she won the Red Dragon Main
Event forR$110,077.
She joined the PokerStars team in 2024. Find her online at

Vivian Im
Vivian Im found poker after her boyfriend did,
thanks to Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and his involvement in💶 the Starcraft Circuit.
Since then, she’s won the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Cebu Event forR$134,142.
She joined
PokerStars in 2011 and💶 can be found online under the screen name, “Vivian Im.”
Felipe
‘Mojave’ Ramos
Felipe Ramos is both a professional poker player and💶 coach. He’s
appeared at final tables at the Brazilian Series of Poker, European Poker Tour, Latin
American Poker Tour and💶 World Series.
His inspiration for poker, like many, was Daniel
Negreanu. He joined PokerStars in 2024. Find him online under his💶 nickname, which he is
better known as, “Mojave.”
Aditya Agarwal
A Team PokerStars Pro by 2024, Aditya Agarwal
has been an online💶 poker player since 2004, cashing for overR$4 million in the biggest
PokerStars tournaments. You can find him at final tables💶 across India or check out his
rankings in the top 100 in 2008 and 2024 for the World Series of💶 Poker.

Kosei Ichinose
Another 2024 Team PokerStars Pro,
Kosei Ichinose was Japan’s first Supernova Elite💶 player. He found poker in 2006 and has
since had major cashes in the SCOOP, WCOOP and Sunday Major tournaments💶 and taken
trophies at the APPT, Macau Millions and Red Dragon Events.

Chen-An Lin
While
Chen-An Lin joined PokerStars in 2024, he’s been cashing since 2009 when he decided to
💶 become a professional poker player. His first big tournament win was the Macau Poker
Cup in October 2009 for HK$15,000.💶 This year he won his largest cash to date in a
hold’em event at the EPT Grand Final in Monte💶 Carlo forR$108,995.

Yaxi Zhu
Yaxi Zhu joined PokerStars in
2024. From China, she💶 took her finance and business management background into the
poker world, winning a number of notable cashes in the EPT💶 and online in cash games,

Lex Veldhuis
Another Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier
convert from StarCraft, Holland’s Lex Veldhuis started playing poker in 2005💶 when
Grospellier paid his firstR$10 on PokerStars. Veldhius joined PokerStars Team Pro
Online in 2024. The biggest cash of his💶 career was attained at the World Series Poker
final table when he finished seventh place forR$277,939.

Pier Paolo Fabretti
Pier Paolo Fabretti started
similarly to Veldhuis except withR$5 of his own💶 money heads up on PokerStars in 2005.
The Italian’s biggest live cash wasR$93,722 at the IPT in Nova Gorica in💶 a € 630 + 70
No Limit Hold'em Main Event where he got second place in 2013.
He uses the screen💶 name
“P.Fabretti” on PokerStars.
Randy Lew
American Randy Lew passed theR$1 million mark in
cash game earnings in 2009, a blip that💶 put him on the map as a grinder who rarely
moved beyond theR$5/$10 games. He became the second PokerStars’ honored💶 VIP Club Hall
of Famers after reaching 10 million lifetime VPPs in 2014. He had his largest cash when
he💶 won the APPT HK$30,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event in Macau forR$484,617.
Lew goes
by the screen name “nanonoko” on PokerStars.
Adrienne💶 Rowsome
Canadian Adrienne Rowsome
first started playing poker with her father when she was young and became a grinder as
she💶 played more and more with good results. She qualified for the WSOP in 2005, 2006
and 2007, and cashed within💶 the top 100 in the WSOP Omaha events in 2008, 2009 and
2010.
This year she won her biggest cash at💶 the PCA on Paradise Island, winning
theR$2,200 #68 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Eight-Handed Turbo event forR$22,420.
She joined
Team PokerStars Online💶 in 2010 and her PokerStars ID is “talonchick.”
Mikhail
Shalamov
Russia’s Mikhail Shalamov is mainly a cash game player, but has also💶 found his
way into the cashes of the World Series and the Monte Carlo Grand Final at the European
Poker💶 Tour.
He completed a personal challenge of 40,008 hands in 19 hours, a record at
the time of the achievement in💶 2009.
He joined PokerStars’ online team in 2011 and can
be found playing on PokerStars as “innerpsy.”
Tyler Frost

Tyler💶 Frost was also part of the 2011 class that signed with the PokerStars
Team Online. Friends in college introduced him💶 to the game and he’s now a cash game
specialist and so he focuses primarily on ring games, keeping his💶 tournament cashes
low.
His best result so far was in aR$33 tournament where he got second place. He goes
by “frosty012”💶 on PokerStars.
Grzegorz Mikielewicz

Poland’s Grzegorz Mikielewicz joined PokerStars in 2004. He has a reputation
for being tight but💶 aggressive and spends his time playing online and running poker
schools and seminars for new players.
He can be found on💶 PokerStars as
“DeWarsaw.”
Jorge Limon
Mexican Jorge Limon decided to be a pro to see what he could
make playing poker; now💶 he’s a cash game specialist in theR$3/$6 andR$25/$50 No Limit
Hold’em tables. He appeared onscreen for the PokerStars Latin America💶 Poker Tour
Rosario event in 2010. He joined PokerStars Team Online in 2011. He races cars when
he’s not playing💶 poker.
But when he does play, he plays under the screen name
“Baalim.”
Mickey Petersen
Magic: The Gathering brought yet another poker player💶 into
the fold with Denmark’s Mickey Petersen. He started playing for PokerStars Team Online
in 2011 and has since scored💶 big in the Spring Championship of Online Poker events.
His
biggest cash to date was live at the EPT Copenhagen where💶 he took the title
andR$444,595.
His PokerStars ID is “mement_mori.”
André Brito Coimbra
Portuguese poker
pro André Brito Coimbra is another Magic: The💶 Gathering player who became a poker
player after getting eighth in the Magic World Championship.
He won the Magic World
Championship💶 in 2009 to match his goal of Supernova status on PokerStars. By 2012, his
new goal was to play all💶 100 events of the Micromillions III series.

George Lind
This American poker
💶 player joined the PokerStars team in 2010, but the real lure to PokerStars for George
Lind was the Supernova VIP💶 status he wanted to obtain. He is known for multi-tabling
high-stakes Sit & Go tournaments and for being the first💶 player to reach 10 million
VPPs.
Lind plays under the screen name “Jorj95” on PokerStars.
Felix Schneiders

German poker coach💶 Felix Schneiders joined the PokerStars Online
team in 2013 after playing in the semi-pro circuit of Magic: The Gathering and💶 seeing
other players make the transition in 2005.
His game of choice is no-limit hold’em
six-max and he plays on PokerStars💶 under “xflixx.”
Liliya ‘Liay5’ Novikova
Liliya
Novikova joined the PokerStars Online team in 2024. With a background in competitive
gaming and her💶 family teaching her five-card draw at age 5, Novikova eventually ended
up in poker, playing turbo Sit & Go tournaments💶 and hyper-turbo six-max games.
Her
biggest live cash wasR$54,609 at the EPT EUREKA tournament in Prague, where she got
first place💶 in the €1,000 + 100 #43 No Limit Hold'em Deepstack Big Ante.
She can be
found on PokerStars under the name💶 “Liay5.”
Jaime Staples
Canadian Jaime Staples has
received the most attention through his poker broadcasting on Twitch. He won the
BigR$109 twice💶 in one month in 2024. Originally, he wanted to be a golfer and then
instead he continued to win the💶 online tourneys, like the BigR$109, The BigR$75, The
HotR$11, the OmaniaR$27 and more.
He joined PokerStars Online Team in 2024 and💶 he can
be found on PokerStars as “jaimestaples.”
Kevin Martin
Kevin Martin is one of the more
recent additions to the online💶 team, coming in 2024. The Canadian used to enjoy poker
recreationally but then transitioned into a professional when his bankroll
💶 hitR$15,000.
He concentrates on low-stakes MTTs and live streams in order to try to
attract new players to the game.
He used💶 to be known as “GarlicXToast,” but now goes by
“KevinM987” on PokerStars.
Katerina Malasidou
Athen’s Katerina Malasidou was introduced
to poker from💶 her boyfriend at the time (now husband), André Coimbra. She won the
‘WBCOOP Best Female Blogger Award’ in 2013 and💶 primarily considers herself a MTT
player. Her total live earnings to date areR$5,300, according to Hendon Mob.
She joined
the online💶 team in 2014 and she plays on PokerStars as “Katerina289.”
