Renan Carlos Bruschi is no stranger to crushing online tournaments across all stakes.
According to his PocketFives online profile, Bruschi has earned over 7,000 lifetime
cashes for a total of just underR$7 million in online tournament earnings. The
Brazilian added another big cash to his resume on Friday night with a victory in the
GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Event #14: The Big 500, earning himself the tournament’s
top prize ofR$150,327 and his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet.
TheR$500
buy-in event drew in 2,639 entries to generate a prize pool ofR$1,253,525. The massive
Day 1 field played down to just 35 players left for Day 2. Bruschi entered the final
table second in chips with just under 10 million less than fellow Brazilian Rafael
“riskgambler” Furlanetto. But in the end it was Bruschi who came out on top after
defeating Leonid “Mikleler” Bilokur heads up.
Thanks to GGPoker’s SnapCam, opposing
players and viewers on the rail got a glimpse into how much fun Renan Bruschi was
having along the way. The eventual winner posted videos throughout the final table of
himself eating, singing, and celebrating.
Bruschi had every reason to be calm and
relaxed despite the stakes. The internet pro is no stranger to big final tables; this
was the eighth six-figure online score of Bruschi’s career. The Brazilian won aR$215
Sunday Million on PokerStars in 2024 forR$582,500 under his internet handle
“Internett93o” and more recently wonR$504,583 in the WPT #07 Mini Main Event on
PartyPoker last September.

In last year’s GGPoker WSOP online bracelet series, Bruschi cashed 11
times forR$58,843. Friday’s cash was Bruschi’s fifth of the 2024 online series thus
far. He came close to earning his first WSOP bracelet with a runner-up finish that
earned himR$66,669 in theR$2,500 Limit Hold’em Championship on August 3.
Brazilian
players continue their dominance in GGPoker bracelet events
Four of the first 11 events
in the 2024 GGPoker WSOP online series were won by Brazilian players. That could have
easily been five out of the first 12 events as Felipe Mojave came up just shy of the
victory with his runner-up finish in Event #12. Brazilian poker fans didn’t have to
wait long for another bracelet however as Renan Bruschi picked up this win just two
events later.

In addition to
having some of the best poker players in the world, Brazil also has some of the most
passionate poker fans. Brazilian poker fans have created some of the loudest and most
exciting rails at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino over the years. The country was hit
hard by COVID-19 vaccine delays earlier this year that could unfortunately make it
difficult for many Brazilians to travel to this year’s live WSOP event. But regardless
of how attendance pans out this fall, Brazil’s poker fans have had plenty to cheer
about during this online series.
