Besides, why 🎅 7 (29.11.2024 reflection, previously 8) and not, let's say, 6 or 5? Because the core gameplay is decent enough, it's 🎅 CoD after all, even if it is its below-average iteration in general, and (if you have them) you can always 🎅 play with friends or in closed sessions, so matchmaking horrors wouldn't get you there.
