Golden Gods Review
Max Win Gaming has a decent and varied production under their belt by
now, and Golden Gods comes 🍋 with a bonus round that’s very obviously inspired by Money
Train 2. Relax Gaming clearly doesn’t mind though, since this 🍋 volatile release is
powered by them via their Silver Bullet program. The Aztec visuals are not anything we
haven’t seen 🍋 plenty of times before, and the 25 positions on the 5x5 grid all spin
individually even in the base game.
Without 🍋 any wilds in play, you’re at the mercy of
the 3,125 win ways for larger payouts, and premium wins combined 🍋 with 1-2 scatters
triggers the indefinite Respins feature. The big highlight is undoubtedly the
hold-and-win style MT2-inspired bonus round, where 🍋 4 special modifier symbols can rock
your world to the tune of 60,000x your stake. The bonus buy RTP is 🍋 far from the 98 %
you get in MT2 though, but the Relax brand lends extra credibility to the announced 🍋 win
cap.

Golden Gods Slot Features
You win by landing 3+
matching symbols anywhere on adjacent reels 🍋 from left to right, and the premium symbols
(or “majors”, if we are to use the in-game terminology) all pay 🍋 3x your stake for 5 of
a kind wins. There are no wilds to be found in Golden Gods, and 🍋 the scatter symbol is
instrumental in triggering both of the game’s two bonus features.
You trigger the
Respins feature when a 🍋 premium/major symbols win land together with 1 or 2 scatters.
You’ll then get indefinite respins as long as you keep 🍋 winning, and the feature stops
when you land a dead spin.
The Bonus Round triggers when you land 3+ scatters at 🍋 the
same time, and the triggering scatters become sticky cash symbols on an otherwise
cleared grid. You are then granted 🍋 6 free spins, and only more cash scatters, blanks or
4 unique feature symbols can land during the feature. All 🍋 non-blank symbols become
sticky when they land, and the feature symbols add +3 extra spins to your tally. Here’s
an 🍋 overview of what you can expect:
Regular cash scatters - land with a value between 2
and 8 x your stake.
- 🍋 land with a value between 2 and 8 x your stake. Gold cash
scatters - award between 10 and 200 🍋 x your stake, as well as +2 extra spins.
- award
between 10 and 200 x your stake, as well as 🍋 +2 extra spins. Itzamna - copies a random
cash symbol value, and adds it to all other symbols.
- copies a 🍋 random cash symbol
value, and adds it to all other symbols. Ix Chel - will either merge 2 to 4 🍋 cash
symbols into a single position by summing up their values, before applying its own
multiplier, or it turns a 🍋 feature symbol golden so the modifier triggers on every spin
that follows.
- will either merge 2 to 4 cash symbols 🍋 into a single position by summing
up their values, before applying its own multiplier, or it turns a feature symbol
🍋 golden so the modifier triggers on every spin that follows. Kinich Ahau - sums up and
collects the value of 🍋 all symbols.
- sums up and collects the value of all symbols.
Chaac - doubles the value of up to 3 🍋 cash symbols up to 3 times each, and it can also
convert a cash symbol into a feature symbol. In 🍋 addition, it can reactivate a spent
feature symbol.
The bonus round ends when you run out of free spins, or if 🍋 you manage
to crack the 60,000x potential. Non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can purchase the
bonus round for 150x the 🍋 total stake. This awards at least 3 guaranteed scatters on the
spin that follows, and the RTP increases slightly from 🍋 96.07 to 96.12 %.
The 200 Spins
Golden Gods Slot Experience
We grinded along in the base game for a while, before 🍋 we
decided to purchase the bonus round at 0:55 into the 2:13-minute highlights video. We
landed a decent amount of 🍋 special feature symbols, which prolonged the feature with
plenty of extra spins. You can see it all play out for 🍋 yourself by hitting the play
button below.
Review Summary
While Golden Gods visual presentation is decent enough,
there is something flimsy about 🍋 the game feeling you get when you spin. It’s like the
grid is made of papier-mâché instead of heavy stone 🍋 blocks, and the special effects are
not nearly as impressive as in the obvious source of inspiration. A Money Train 🍋 2
spin-off with an Aztec skin is still an okay idea though, and the execution isn’t all
that bad either.
The 🍋 streak Respins feature keeps you topped up in the base game,
although larger wins are certainly also possible with 3,125 🍋 ways. You’ll have to rely
on extra spins provided by gold or feature symbols, instead of the usual resetting of
🍋 the spin tally in the bonus round, and there are only 4 modifier symbols compared to 9
in MT2. The 🍋 60,000x potential is somewhat higher though, which might compel certain
players to jump off the money cart and head for 🍋 the South-American jungle.

If you enjoy Golden Gods Slot you should 🍋 also try:
Money Train 2
- is Relax Gaming’s steampunk mega hit, and it comes with a progressive multiplier
respins feature 🍋 in the base game. The hold-and-win style bonus round features 9 unique
modifier symbols, and this can lead to payouts 🍋 up to 50,000x your stake. The bonus buy
RTP is 98 %, but not available for UK players.
Money Cart 2 🍋 - is a great alternative if
you want as many bonus round triggers as possible. You trigger the feature within 🍋 5-10
spins on average, and it plays out just like in the original MT2. The max win is
reduced to 🍋 5,000x your stake though, but you can play with regular stakes and avoid
bonus buy regulations.
Aztec Gold Megaways - is 🍋 iSoftBet’s popular debut release with
the licenced BTG engine, and it plays out on 6 reels with cascading wins and 🍋 up to
117,649 win ways. The big highlight is the hold-and-win style Cash Respins feature,
where filling reels with cash 🍋 symbols award multipliers up to x7. Jackpots up to 1,000x
can also be achieved, and the overall potential is 19,200x 🍋 your stake.
